With Easter just mere days away, Griffith is set for a massive weekend of fun.
The city will be abuzz from Friday, March 30 to Monday, April 2 with the return of the annual Griffith Easter Party.
The line-up of events will get underway on Good Friday with the Bacchus Family Fun Run followed by Pioneer Park Museum’s Stockmen, Steam and Steel Action Day.
On Easter Saturday, celebrations will be in full swing as the popular Children’s Brunch in CWA Park, the Sidewalk Extravaganza Sale and Vintage Festival take place.
Griffith City Council events co-ordinator Karly Sivewright said the Griffith Easter Party served as an opportunity to showcase the city.
“There is so much to do and see. It’s going to be a busy weekend for Griffith, but everything is in place for an incredible few days,” Mrs Sivewright said.
“The heritage train departing from the Griffith Railway Station daily is a wonderful way for the whole family to explore the Griffith region.
“I’m really excited about our live classic music festival, Rewind in the Vines, on Sunday.
“There will be great, live music from popular artists Ross Wilson and Daryl Braithwaite as well as home-grown talent.
“Combine this with our amazing regional wines, beer and cider and delicious food from some of our local food trucks, and you’ve got the perfect afternoon.”
