The Riverina Rhinos junior sides have played their first home games of the season with Gungahlin United making the trip to Southside Leagues Club Oval.

The under 13s started the day with a close battle with their Gungahlin counterparts.
After falling behind early in the first half, the Rhinos were able to strike back quickly with Dean Armanini making the most of a goalmouth scramble to knock it past the Gungahlin keeper.
After falling behind 3-1, goals to Reuben Donadel and Mohammad Jawad to see the Rhinos take a 3-all draw at fulltime.
The under 14s had a better time of it in their match as they started the game quickly with Luca Vecchio providing the assist for Ryan Zanatta.
Zanatta doubled his side’s lead early in the second half while Gungahlin was able to pull one back to make for a nervous conclusion.
If not for a goalline clearance from Niamh Wood, United would have equalised, but the Rhinos were able to take the 2-1 win thanks to his last-ditch effort.
It was another tough afternoon for the 16s as they search for their first points of the season going down 3-0 to United.
The Rhinos will now prepare for another trip to Canberra where they will take on the Monaro Panthers at the AIS Grass Field.
