Wade was sharp from the start of the afternoon taking a convincing win in the League Tag. They were able to get two tries in the first half as Kayla Panazzolo and Jessica Conlan found their way across the line.
The story continued in the second half and with Jadha Anderson-King finding her way through the Marian defensive line the lead was extended to 14-0.
Panazzolo had her second try of the game after running 60 metres to score in the corner before Lucy Murphy crossed to bring the game to a close and give Wade a 22-0 win.
The Bonetti champions have put themselves in a good position to retain the cup at the end of the competition after a win over Marian but not before a scare late in the game.
Marian managed to open the scoring when Olivah Smyth crossed early before Wade High scored three unanswered tries to go in at halftime up 12-4.
Wade continued their run in the second half to get out to a 22-4 lead before Marian’s Wycliff Tuiaki got one back for his side. Tyler Andreazza gave Marian a chance late in the game but Wade High manged to hold on to take a 22-14 win.
Wade finished their clean sweep with a win in the Fifita Cup open’s game with Tyrone Beitaki leading the way with four tries. Seven second-half tries saw Wade come away with a 66-6 win with Samuel Raciti scored Marian’s only try for the afternoon.
