After the Cougars won the toss and elected to bat, Ben Signor and Kyle Bennett were able to get their side off to a solid start.
When Signor (5) fell to the bowling of Chris Hayes (1/11), Dean Bennett joined his brother Kyle at the crease, and the pair laid the foundation for their side.
The pair were able to put on 38 runs for the second wicket before Kyle (29) was dismissed by Tom Fattore (2/30).
Dean Bennett (71) continued his push for runs and with assistance from Isaac Testoni (20) and Jack Hutchinson (19) saw Coro finish on 8/186 off 35 overs.
Thomas Munn (3/17) was the standout bowler for Coleambally as he took wickets at the end of the innings to slow Coro’s charge.
The Nomads lost Sam Toscan (0) early when he was knocked over by Claire Murray (1/5) Coly had to rebuild early.
Bryce Rogers (10) fell with the score on 16 before Hayes, and James Buchanan put on 15 runs for the third wicket.
It was wickets at constant intervals which hurt the Nomads as only Sam Breed (27) and Tom Fattore (21) were able to make a start as they finished their 35 overs on 7/121 to hand Coro a place in the third-grade decider with a 65-run win.
Coleambally will now look to take advantage of their second chance when they take on Hanwood on Friday.
Hanwood were able to see off the challenge of Exies at Exies Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Exies were able to put up a fight with Aditha Jayasuriya (27), Connor Bock (28) and Kokulan Kandeepan (24) as Exies finished on 7/145 after their 35 overs.
Hanwood’s Ben Rowston (5) and Oliver Bartter (9) fell early to put their side under pressure at 2/19.
Angus Bartter and Harry Rowston were able to get their side back on the right track with a commanding 74-run partnership to see Hanwood requiring 52 runs off the final 12.2 overs.
When Bartter (36) and Rowston (25) fell, Jordan Whitworth (22) was able to keep the score ticking over and guide his side to a three-wicket win.
In the match-ups between the Nomads and Hanwood, it is the Hanwood side who have the upper hand winning two of the three matches between the two sides including their only other meeting in the 35 over format.
The fight for the grand final birth will get underway at 5.45 at Exies Oval on Friday
