The Lions thumped Cootamundra by 68 points in the opening game of the inaugural Southern NSW AFL Women’s competition at Gumly Oval.
Griffith defeated Snowy Mountains Bears by 14 points in the second game. It was both team’s first ever official game of women’s football.
