Police have described a crash that took the lives of a 15-year old girl and a 24-year-old male on Kidman Way just south of Darlington Point as a “tragic accident”.

Police were notified of the accident around 15 kilometres south of Darlington Point at about 12.15pm on Thursday morning. It appears the car has lost control and collided with a tree.
Two family members were travelling in another car are believed to have witnessed the crash.
It is understood the pair were travelling from Melbourne. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Those in the car are yet to be formally identified. Residents are asked to avoid the area. Road blocks are currently in place.
Police are asking people to be careful on the roads over the Christmas period.
“Drive to the conditions. Drive to the speed limit and take regular breaks.”
