Banna Ave will come alive with the sound of Christmas Carols this weekend with the the annual Christmas in the Park set to take over Memorial Park.
Now in its third year, the event is hosted by Apostolic Church Australia’s One In Christ Fellowship. Kicking off at, 7pm on Saturday it will include gospel singing, traditional carols and a choir team.
Pastor Mario Rizzeri said he felt carols would compliment the Christmas spirit of Griffith’s busy main street.
“It's a fantastic time of year to stop and remember the significance of the season and what Christmas means to everyone,” he said.
An eight piece band and Angelina Rizzeri are set to wow the crowd. The entire community is invited to get in on the action.
“The Christmas spirit is in the year. People are buzzing here and there to get their shopping in. It adds to the atmosphere,” Mr Rizzeri said.
“We're hoping to grow the event. Eventually I'd like to see the entire park lit up."
Christmas in the Park will take place on Saturday, December 23 at 7pm.
