It’s here. The Bureau of Meteorology has released the forecast for Christmas Day in the Riverina, and we’ve got one word for it: relief.
Tuesday is set to be a scorcher, then a couple of cooler days leading into the weekend before another soaring day on Christmas Eve, the BoM advises.

Temperatures as high as 41 degrees have been forecast across the Riverina on Sunday, but chefs need not look to Christmas Day with trepidation.
The region looks like it’ll go from pretty warm on Christmas Eve – between 39 and 42 degrees in various parts of the region – back down to a delectable low to mid-30s.
Wagga is set for a high of 33 degrees on a partly cloudy day with a chance of a shower in the morning.
Griffith’s Christmas Day will be slightly warmer, with a prediction of 34 degrees in similar conditions.
Deniliquin and Cootamundra should expect 31 degrees, Junee 32, Hay 33, Narrandera 34.
