Coleambally has continued their strong start to the third-grade season after a strong performance against Leagues on Friday night.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Nomads made a slow start to the game losing James Clarke (0) after he was dismissed by Jackson Hasson (3/15).
Jack Cullen took the fight to the Panthers bowling getting the side to 19 before Simon Toscan (1) and Harrison McKinnon (0) fell in quick succession with Hasson taking both wickets.
James Buchanan joined Cullen and the pair work to take the game away from Leagues with both batsmen being forced into retirement due to reaching the half-century mark.
Chris Hayes (5) fell to the bowling of Damon Bartlett (1/21), and the side would eventually reach a final total of 4/175 off their 20 overs to put Leagues on the back foot.
Oscar Nolan (11) and Sam Payne (14) put on 28 for the first wicket before James Clarke (1/4) dismissed Nolan.
It was a struggle for League to find meaningful partnership which would end their chances of finding their way back into the game.
When Tom Greenaway (9) fell to the bowling of Sam Breed (2/11) saw six wickets fall for 15 runs.
Running between wickets was an issue for the Panthers with Manninder Singh (1), Ryan Minato (0) and Bartlett (6) all being found short of their ground while McKinnon (1/4) and Buchanan (1/7).
Leagues finished their 20 overs on 8/62 which gave the Nomads a 117-run win.
In the game between Exies and Coro saw the Cougars pick up a five-wicket win.
Batting first, Exies were able to post a score of 7/82 off 18.3 overs with Connor Bock scoring 14 runs while Coro’s Jack Hutchinson (2/11) and Mark Bennett (2/6) did the damage with the ball.
Kyle Bennett (11) and Sam Flood (7) got the side to 15 before Jaylan Gatto (1/9) before the dismissal of Flood was followed quickly by Mark Bennett (4), and Lucas Conlan (4) to have the side on 4/34.
An unbeaten 30 from Dean Bennett as enough to get Coro across the line with five wickets in hand and 21 ball remaining.
