A decade has been and gone, and Griffith Central is still standing proud as one of Griffith’s retail strongholds.
Griffith Central manager Cheryl Wood has been with the plaza from it’s inception, and is proud of the way the centre has not only become a one-stop shopping hub, but a place in the heart of Griffith’s community.
“When I went back through all the photos, there is so many fun things we have done, all the community involvement with events, we see ourselves as more than just a shopping centre – we are a community hub where people can come together, celebrate all the good things in our community,” Ms Wood said.
It was called the start of a new era at it’s grand opening on Tuesday October 30, 2007, and has since then become a permanent fixture in Griffith’s retail experience.
“Honestly it’s wonderful, and for the first time we have every single shop open, which is pretty exciting, so it’s a significant milestone which is worth celebrating, which is why we are making a thing about it.”
