Who said fashion isn’t achievable on a budget? St Vinnies stylist Tara Castellan hit the Griffith store to show that fashion doesn’t have to break the bank.
Griffith St Vinnies is unique, she says, because of the amount of brand new clothing items available.
“I think because a lot of people are online shopping now, so instead of going to the effort to return the items and ship them back, they donate them, so you can get some absolute bargains here,” Tara said.
She has also noticed the store has a tonne of vintage outfits, with a very 70’s vibe – perfect for the spring and summer seasons.
“The town has been very receptive to being showing something that they would never normally wear, and that’s definitely the beauty of Vinnies,” she said.

Her hot tip for op shopping: “Keep an open mind, and secondly have an idea about what you would like in your wardrobe, when you think about things and you walk in to Vinnies it does appear, so it’s a little bit like serendipity shopping.”
