Kicking off again after the school holidays it was great to see the enthusiasm the ladies brought back to the court. Always up for a close and exciting game, Amadena snuck a one game win over Mischa. Gavello was too good for Tiffany on the night with a 2 set victory while Chimento put up a fight, going down to Jabel by two sets. The scores don’t always reveal how close the competition is or how much fun is had on the court. Plenty of tasteful banter to be had between all teams.

Tuesday night mixed competition, the Cougars couldn’t get there claws into Nailed going, down six sets to nil. The Schoolies stirred up the Sticky Dates, winning by only eight games.
Aces had to go one better over Black Magic with an 11 game win while the Tourists prevented the Aggies from germinating even with welcome 10-12mls received around town last Sunday night; a five set win. Never a lot to be deterred, the lingering threat of rain held off until the end of the night for our Wednesday teams. Niggled by the rain and always with plenty of creative commentary, Double Trouble made it just that for the PinnicleHPC team, with a 12 game win.
Shud showed the Young Guns an 11 game win, while the Bits & Pieces continued to hold it together with a five set win while we cheer on the Deuce Bags. Persisting with the oncoming rain, Whatever and Super Cool were last to finish on the night closing out with a 5 set, but only 10 game win for Whatever.
Joke of the week
Q. What do you serve but not eat?
A. A tennis ball! (ps. Great homemade salami at Wednesday night supper)
