Thousands flocked number of live performances, stalls and food on offer.
Locals were also surprised by a visit by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who stopped in to greet residents and address the crowd.
Multicultural Council president Carmel La Rocca said the festival is always a highlight.
“We had a big crossection of groups participating this year. Every year there is something different that happens at the festival,” she said.

The festival is now in its ninth year.
She paid tribute to the people who helped out, both before the festival and on the day.
“We’ve got a hardworking group that pulls it together each year,” she said.
“Thanks to everyone that helped on the day. I just love the way the community comes together on the day.”
