A man has escaped serious injury after crashing his car on Sunday morning.
The white Toyota Hilux was travelling southbound towards Leeton along Irrigation Way before crashing into a channel.
Witnesses near the intersection of Murray Road and Irrigation Way saw the vehicle cross over onto other side of road and crash into the channel.
They went to help the driver in the partly-submerged vehicle while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
Paramedics managed to remove the driver through the passenger side door.
He was taken to Griffith Base Hospital, where we was treated, however he did not sustain any major injuries.
At this stage police believe the 41-year-old male driver experienced a medical episode causing the crash, however still need to speak to him when he recovers.
The scene was attended by Rural Fire Service Hanwood Brigade, ambulance and police.
