Exies have taken the win in their first fourth-grade game of the season when they took on Hanwood at Showgrounds No 1.
Hanwood won the toss and elected to bat but made a shaky start.
Oliver Bartter fell on the fourth ball of the day when he was caught by James Roche off the bowling of Jacob Testoni (2/3).
Harry Rowston (23) and Henry Lacey (19) worked hard to get their side back on track to post an imposing total.
After a 44-run stand, Rowston fell to the bowling of Peter Davis (1/7) before Lacey was trapped in front by Bohdy Martin (1/12).
Daniel Whitworth (4) fell with the score on 4/59 after he was dismissed by Jayden Quinn (1/8) which brought Tom Bartter (25) and Luke Demamiel (6) together.
The pair put on 32 runs for the fifth wicket before Demamiel was run-out by Hayden Forner.
This triggered a collapse from the Hanwood side which saw them lose their last six wickets for six runs with Mason Ashcroft (2/7) and Derek Forner (2/21) taking two wickets each.
Ashcroft had a good day in the field as well taking three catches.
In reply, Hayden (14) and Derek (9) Forner got their side off to a good start pushing them towards 20.
When Derek was stumped by Tom Bartter off the bowling of Harry Rowston (2/9), it slowed the scoring rate for Exies. Hayden Forner was the to fall after he was caught and bowled by Harry Rowston as he dismissed both openers.
Exies struggled a little in the middle order with Quinn (2), Sean Culgan (0) and Martin (2) all dismissed with two of the young batters getting run out to leave the side on 5/35.
With Roche (28) and Davis (21) at the crease Exies looked to get themselves into a position to take the game as they required 62 runs with 12 overs remaining.
The pair got the side to 86 before Davis was the third batsman to be run-out in the Exies innings with Luke Cannon providing the accurate throw.
Roche followed Davis after Cannon took a catch off Aiden Serafin (1/12) to leave Amandeep Singh (5*) and Roy Binks (4*) to get the side home with three wickets in hand.
