Fifteen-year-old Brodie Jones has co-ordinated a fundraiser for fellow Ardlethan resident Pete Minchin, who has cancer.
He has organised “Brodie’s bounce” as part of the Mirrool Silo Kick this weekend.
On Saturday Brodie will lead a group of people to walk the almost 22 kilometres from Ardlethan to Mirrool with a football in hand.
The walk is expected to take about four-and-a-half hours.
Anyone can take part and they are welcome to dress in their footy colours, fancy dress or other colourful and comfortable gear.
They should bring a football, netball or any ball and bounce or kick it along the way.
Mr Minchin has been receiving treatment for bowel and now liver cancer for four years.
All money raised will assist him, his wife Fiona and their four children.
RSVP by email to Renee on monaleigh@bigpond.com or text 0429 783 344, with names and numbers for logistics purposes.
