Griffith youngster Alex Robinson will take a step to achieving a dream when he heads off to Spain to take part in the Futsal World Championship.

Alex has been selected in the under 14s side who will head off in December to compete against the best in his age group.
It is a challenge he is looking forward to taking on.
“I'm so excited, I can't wait it should be an awesome experience,” he said.
“We will be going up against some pretty tough opponents, and it will be a pretty high quality of futsal.
Should be awesome and very eyeopening and it will be good to compete against the best.

Alex has been playing Futsal for the last three years and has already represented his state a number of times and has a dream result in mind of making the big time.
“I have represented the Griffith side, and I have played for NSW twice now,” he said.
“The dream is to play soccer professionally at a high level.”
The young attacking has been putting in hard work to ensure he is at the level he needs to be at come the end of the year when head heads off to Spain.
“I have just been focusing on my soccer,” he said.
“Trying to get quicker with the speed of play and making sure my touches are nice and quick.
“As a team, we had a training camp last holidays in Ballarat, and before we go, we have a three-day training camp.
“We will have another camp when we get into Spain before we play.
“I am just playing futsal here locally in the lead up as well.”
Alex will take part in a week-long event with group games followed by finals and playoffs if the side performs well and is able to make it past the first round.
