After winning the toss and electing to bat, Exies looked to be setting the foundation for a solid total with Hayden Forner (19) and Ryan Bock (1) putting on 11 before Bock fell to the bowling of Ben Rowston (1/11)
When Forner was joined by Kokulan Kandeepan (32), the pair pushed the side towards the 40-run mark with a 26-run partnership.
Forner was dismissed by Sam Robinson (2/16) but the fall of wicket did little to slow the scoring with Connor Bock (11) continuing where Forner left off.
Bock and Kandeepan made the most of their time in the middle together, putting on 58 runs for the third wicket before Kandeepan was dismissed by Brent Docherty (2-12) who then found himself on a hat-trick when he removed Bock with the next delivery.
Jayasuria Aditha (15) saw off the hat-trick ball and alongside James Roche (14*) pushed the side past three figures with five overs remaining in their innings.
Aditha was dismissed by Jordan Whitworth (1/14) when he was caught by Harry Rowston with Matt Salvestro (1) following shortly after.
Some quick runs from Roche and Jaylan Gatto (5) saw the side finish their 20 overs on 7/120.
It was a rocky start for Hanwood, losing Oliver Bartter (5) who fell to the bowling Gatto (1/5). He was followed by Harry Rowston (0) after he was caught by Gatto off the bowling of Roche (1/7) to have the side sitting at 2/10 after three overs.
Ben Rowston (11) and Whitworth (4) put their heads down to push their side towards the 114 runs needed for victory with a 26-run partnership.
Rowston was dismissed by Ryan Bock (2/5) who followed up with the wicket of Whitworth an over later.
Angus Bartter (27) was a constant in the Hanwood innings when he came in at the fall of the third wicket and was in need of one of his teammates to hang around.
Tom Bartter (1) fell to the bowling of Connor Bock (1/11) to leave the side at 5/54 to see them requiring 69 runs off the remaining seven overs.
Sam Robinson (8) and Angus Bartter looked to be pushing their side in the right direction before Robinson was run out after a quick throw from Bock.
Zac Demamiel (5) joined Bartter in the middle knowing there was a tough task to see their side pick up the win, needing 53 runs to win.
Demamiel was caught by Aditha off the bowling of Salvestro (1/8), which saw Emily Curran (1) come to the crease, with Hanwood finishing their 20 overs at 7/89 to see Exies come away with a 34-run win.
