Healing priest Father Gerard Ryan traveled around the Parish with the statue to speak about the apparition of the Lady Of Fatima to three children Lúcia, Jacinta and Francisco.
“The statue is just a statue, just the same as photos we have, an image of somebody we love which reminds us to think about the person, but it reminds us of an important event,” he said.
As part of his travels, he visited St Mary’s Primary Schools in Griffith and Yoogali.

“It’s important for the students to understand that our lady visited children their age, so the take away is we need to pray, say sorry to God for our sins, and to get to church,” he said.
The previous celebrations held on the weekend at Saint Patrick's Church saw ‘phenomenal' turn outs, by all members of the Griffith community, not just the Catholics.
“I can say the devotions we had were spectacular in the amount of participation on the weekend,” Father Gerard said.
