A Griffith winery has picked up a slew of awards at recent shows across the state.
McWilliam’s Wines have picked up accolades across the Canberra and Region, Tumbarumba, Hilltops and Single Vineyard wine shows.
The 2014 McWilliam’s Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon picked up top honours at the Hilltops and Single Vineyard wine shows.
CEO Jeff McWilliam lauded the skills of the company’s winemakers
“It has been a fantastic experience working with a team who are really invested in the vision we have for our wines across the portfolio,” he said.
“Both our newer collections and established wines share a unique expression of the region...”
Another win came in the form of the 2015 McWilliam’s 842 Chardonnay. The wine picked up Best Chardonnay and Best Dry White at the Canberra and Region Wine Show.
It’s predecessor also walked away with top billing for the Aged White of Show trophy in Tumbarumba.
Viticulture Manager for McWilliam’s Andrew Higgins feels that these prize-winning wines showcase the company’s best.
“We work incredibly hard with our grower base and in our own vineyards to select the parcels of fruit that perfectly deliver a vibrant and medium bodied wine,” he said.
