The festival will showcase Indian dance, music, food and culture.
Loveleen Kaur, an organiser of the Tiann Festival, said this was an important event in the Indian calendar.
“It is based around the monsoonal rain in India as well as the end of harvest as it allows the girls to travel home and get together to sing and dance.”
Ms Kaur said the festival attracts a lot of non-Indian residents, and everyone is welcome.
“It’s a great opportunity for those interested in Indian culture to taste our food and see our dance”.
Ms Kaur said the Giddha folk dance will on show later in the afternoon, and that everyone can join the performers on the dance floor.
Tickets are $12.
