Captain/coach Tara Ceccato said her side were hit with injuries at the worst time.
After finishing on top of the table, they went out in straight sets in the finals with losses to Yoogali SC and Griffith City.
“If we are able to snag win this weekend it will give ourselves a few more week to get injured players back,” she said.
Ceccato believes a good performance in the competition will show the level of skill in Griffith.
“I think Griffith has a decent level of talent and the ability to be competitive with the state,” she said.
“Hopefully we get the chance to prove that to everyone.”
The side will take on Winston Hill at Noe Santolin Oval on Sunday starting at 1pm.
