The 1917 October Revolution in Russia ushered in modern communism.
The key danger of communism is that it presents itself as the very things it is not. Similarly, the same-sex marriage “debate” was never a fair fight from the beginning, claiming it was about everything it was not and it seems the Russia of 1917 has spread her errors to the Australia of 2017.
The High Court challenge of the plebiscite, Bill Shorten threatening same-sex marriage regardless of the people’s will; Labor and the Greens blocking a plebiscite.
These events sound like the birth pangs of communism to me.
The “Yes” vote claimed “diversity”, accept diversity from their viewpoint, in which case you’re a “bigot” and anything you say is “hate speech”, which is hypocrisy really.
“No” voters, especially the religious, fall all over each other attempting to publicly express respect for same-sex couples, while media outlet’s Facebook pages have nearly 100 per cent of their “hate speech” comments from “Yes” voters.
There has never been any public outcry from the gay community against the Mardi Gras’ blatant and ubiquitous mockery of Christianity every year.
This gestured respect is not reciprocated.
The “Yes vote” claimed “equality”, yet the Lord Mayor of Sydney Clover Moore gave the “Yes” vote campaign $100,000 and the “No” vote campaign $0.
The Greens also funnelled funds to the “Yes” vote.
ABC News journalists only expressed views favourable of same-sex marriage.
SBS banned the Australian Marriage Forum’s commercial. Hardly equality.
Jesus said “you will know them by their fruit” Before this “debate” free speech was an Australian pastime.
Now workers fear losing their jobs and academics fear losing their tenure if they publicly support Australian marriage as it is.
Marriage is the foundation of society, and altering foundations places the entire house in jeopardy. Where will same-sex couples find their children? Surrogacy? Mercenaries? Surrogacy? Mercenaries?
Yet what adoption agency would be foolish enough to give their few children to any couples other than same-sex couples lest they be closed down for discrimination?
Until a few years ago the Left said marriage was archaic slavery and just a piece of paper. Now it’s the only doorway to dignity. How convenient.
