Shortly after midnight police and other emergency services were called to the corner of Banna Avenue and Blumer Avenue, after a single car accident.
The vehicle appears to have impacted into a power pole and has rolled over onto trees on the side of the road.
Ambulance and paramedics are still assessing the drivers condition but have not yet gained access to the driver.
When paramedics on the scene gain access to the car to assess the drivers condition more information will be available.
The road is closed eastbound into Griffith.
