
Yanco-Wamoon will be looking to bounce back from a loss to local rival Leeton last weekend when they take on Yenda on Sunday in the under 16s.
Should the Hawks be victorious, they will cruise through to the premiership match where they will face the Greens in what would be another fierce, cross-town rivalry game.
After losing to the Greens in the major semi final 24-16 with Greens’ Timothy Toia scoring a double while Adam Ruigrok crossed for two tries for the Hawks.
It will be a tough test for the for the Yanco-Wamoon side taking on a Yenda side who will be coming into the game off the back of a convincing display against West Wyalong.
The Blueheelers came away with a 28-8 win over the Mallee Men in Darlington Point.
Blake Wood continued his good season for the Yenda side with a hat-trick while Giuseppe Rovere was able to score two of his own.
In the teams head-to-head record throughout the season, the Hawks have the advantage picking up two wins including in the first round of finals where they won 26-22.
The clashes have been tight throughout the season with 10 points being the biggest winning margin across the three meetings.
The under 16s game will be the first to kick off at Leeton No 1 Oval at 10am.
