Round 16 of Griffith hockey kicked off in the men's division with Galahs Men taking on Leeton.
Galahs were able to to take a early goal scored by Mick Colling. Leeton replied with a goal scored by Renier van Zyl. The game looked to be ending in a draw, until in the final minute Exies’ Mick Connellon scored giving his side a 2-1 victory.
Easts Men take on Bulldogs Men in a tough contest. East's Men were able to sneak away with a 2-1 win.
Neal Patel scoring first for Easts’ while Michael Crosato scored late to seal the win. Nathan McLean was Bulldogs only scorer.
Galahs Women and Bulldogs Women went head-to-head and while Lorraine Maxwell was outstanding for Galahs, they were unable to stop a onslaught of goals from Bulldogs.
Sharon Croce scoring five goals while Matt Whittaker chipped in with 1 leaving the score line 6-0. Game two featured East's women and Griffith retirement estate.
Easts came home with a 3-0 victory despite Griffith Retirements Jessica Maher fantastic efforts. Davina Guidolin scored Easts three goals.
