The Yoogali Club again plays host to some of Griffith's best musical talent, and the musicians’ club says there’s a buzz about town and the usual talk about the Musicians Club Ball.
When asked what makes this event so special, Club president Michael Pfitzner said the club is made up of around 50 members who all work or run businesses in the Griffith.
“This is an event that Griffith people mark on their calendars and arrange travel plans around” says.
“It has been for many years the social event of the year for quite a few Griffith people.
Most of the bands are made up of regularly working bands or duos around Griffith and the collective talents are pooled to create this great event.
While the ball is not specifically a charity fundraiser, the club always donates a sum of money to charity.
This year the club is allocating $2000 to be shared between the Griffith Care Van as well as Meals on Wheels.
Profits from the Ball go towards funding the club’s other activities throughout the year including the Young Musician of the Year initiative which has been running for 10 years now.
The club is a keen supporter of young musicians and this year two of the finalists will be kicking off the show at 6.30pm.
The crowd will be dancing to all their favourite tunes past and present. There is sure to be something for everyone.
