The Curtain Breathed Deeply by Sydney based artist Justene Williams has transformed the Griffith Regional Art Gallery into an intentionally chaotic, immersive and interrelated sequence of installations. Her largest and most ambitious undertaking to date, will seduce visitors into and through a series of hypnotising sets and video installations abounding in sensory overload and cacophony.
Known for her lavish work combining live performance with multifaceted, handmade sets, sculptural elements and video installation. Williams calls upon memories and her experiences constructing elaborate retail window displays, using found objects and waste materials to create dazzling theatrical environments.
The exhibition runs until Sunday, September 17.
