Police are looking for a man who can assist with inquiries to a ‘fail to pay’ in relation to a taxi fare.
In CCTV stills provided by Griffith police, a man is seen smiling in a cab around 8pm on Sunday, July 23.
Anyone who recognises the man is urged to get in touch with police by calling the station on 6969 4299.
In an unrelated incident, a woman had her wallet stolen from a while shopping at a Griffith supermarket on Sunday.
She left the trolley with her wallet in it to put her shopping in her car, and when she returned the wallet had been stolen.
The incident occurred around 2.30pm.
Police are asking for anyone with information, or anyone who is able to assist with inquiries about the two incidents to call the station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Inspector Nick Seddon is also urging residents not to post information about the incidents on their Facebook page, and to contact them directly.
