Over 450 students from 15 schools are primed ready for Kids Rapt on Performing, the much anticipated showcase of performers highlighting Education Week at Griffith Regional Theatre on August 2 and 3.
KROP festival co-ordinator Robyn Schmetzer is excited about this year’s show.
“It will be an exciting and inspirational show,” Mrs Schmetzer said.
“KROP will bring to the fore a broad range of talents and aspirations including students studying music, drama, dance.”

Her highlight will be when all 453 student performers join the KROP band on stage for the traditional finale which this year will be Chained to the Rhythm.
Performers at this year’s KROP are drawn from:

- Goolgowi Public School
- Griffith High School
- Griffith North Public School
- Hillston Central School
- Lake Cargelligo Central School
- Leeton Public School
- Tharbogang Public School
- Ungarie Central School
- Yanco Agricultural High School
- Yanco Public School
- Yenda Public School
They will showcase their talents at an evening show on Wednesday August 2 at 6:00pm and matinee and evening performances on Thursday August 3 at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.
KROP will bring to the fore a broad range of talents and aspirations including students studying music, drama, dance as well as excited and enthusiastic primary students.
Mrs Schmetzer said over the years there has been growing recognition for the value of KROP.
“It is an innovative creative arts program supported by the resources of a large public education system and the Griffith Regional Theatre,” Mrs Schmetzer said.
“This extensive network of schools and combined resources means we can offer broad and relevant educational programs meeting the student, community and business needs.”
