AFTER a week off thanks to the bye, the Greens league tag side picked up where they left off last weekend.
Travelling to Griffith, Leeton took on the Waratahs in a mid-afternoon clash, thanks to the senior game playing under lights.
The later start didn’t affect the Greens, who were up and about early to eventually take home the points, securing a 36-4 victory.
However, the score could have blown out more, with Leeton only converting four of their seven tries.
The Hawks had the bye last weekend and will be ready and raring to go when they take on the Griffith Black and Whites.
They too will play later in the day on Saturday instead of their usual time, with first grade playing under lights.
However, it will be a tough task ahead, with the Black and Whites currently second on the ladder.
For the Greens, they will return home on Sunday to tackle Tullibigeal Lakes United.
Leeton will be looking to secure another big victory to increase their percentage and move further up the ladder.
