Griffith was well represented at the Bathurst AMT & JT Tournament recently, with coach Danny Dossetor playing great tennis to make the final of the AMT Men’s singles, narrowly missing the win in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 10-8. In the AMT Men’s Doubles Danny and Ben Mahlknecht made it through to the second round, unfortunately retiring from their next match. Ben also won his first round match in the AMT Singles. Bradley Clifford played through to the semi-finals of the 14 Boys consolation singles and Ben played through to the quarter-finals. In the 12 Girls Singles Jane Haeuslar made it through to the quarter-finals and Elise Townsend progress to the second round of the Ladies AMT Singles, going down in the next round. Thanks to Danny for taking the kids to Bathurst for the event and congratulations to all players. We wish our juniors best of luck for the next events on the circuit; the Tumut JDS followed by a High Performance training camp in Wagga which will provide opportunity for our Griffith juniors to be scouted by Tennis Australia.
