The Riverina Schools Sports Association, in conjunction with Wade High School teachers Craig Brooker and Martin Maley, are organising the New South Wales Combined High Schools Open Boys State Carnival.
Wade High’s Big Four – Daniel Rigato, Adam Leeson, Elija Brooker and Lucas Fabris – will be among a host of top quality footballers from around NSW to feature in the prestigious carnival.
The games will be played at Ted Scobie Oval on May 23 to 25.
It’ll be the first time the MIA viewing public can see the New South Wales’ elite young players and officials.
Twelve representative teams from regions including Hunter, Sydney and Riverina will be compete in a round-robin tournament to be named state champions. The winner earns to right to be called state champion.
The carnival will act as the trials for the New South Wales Open Boys squad, which feeds into the national selection process.
