Griffith Hockey kicked off in the men's division with last year’s two grand finals teams Astral Pool vs Easts Flavourtech Men.
There was no repeat of the 1-0 grand final result this time around roles were reversed as Easts got sweet revenge against Astral convincingly beating them 8-1.
Trevor Cowie and Fiona Mckenzie both pick up 3 goals each while Rhys Brill and Micheal Crosato got a one a piece. Jakob Buckley was the goal scorer for astral.
Game 2 for the Men's saw Exies vs Leeton. Exies men showed they mean business this season with a 3-0 win over Leeton.
Chris Powsy lead from front for Exies while also picking up a goal, Blake Wiseman and Joel Armstrong also picking up a goal each.
The Women's division saw Easts Women vs Pinnacle in what was a very back and forth game Easts Women were able to come away with a 5-0 victory.

Exies women won by forfeit against Vic while Griffith Retirement Estate had the first round bye.
After the Easter break sees Astral Pool take on Exies men while Leeton take on East Flavourtech in the men’s division.
