 Binks/Tucker senior cricket

IN THE final round of matches Finch, Siddle and Healy chalked up wins. Finch’s score of 4/82 (ave 20.5) was just enough to give them a win over Marsh. Harry Smith retired on seven, Jack Mingay made seven and Noah Kirkman retired on six for Finch. Charlie O’Sullivan, Tom Taylor and Ben Devery shared the wickets for Marsh. Hayden Forner again set the standard for Marsh with his 20 retired. Tom Taylor and Sean Culgan both made handy contributions of 15 retired. Cooper James had a good day with the ball to finish with 3/4.

Maxwell set Siddle a hard target with a score of 2/68 highlighted by an innings of 22 retired from Luke Cannon. Kyle Jamieson was Siddle’s only wickettaker, finishing with 1/7 off three overs. Kyle also dominated Siddle’s batting with an innings of 26 not out. Rahul Giran posed some problems for the Siddle batsmen with a spell that yielded 2/8.

Healy notched up a well deserved win over Faulkner scoring a creditable 3/74 (24.7) to Faulkner’s 8/94 (11.7). Ben Fattore was in good form, hitting up 18 runs retired and Zac Ross contributed a useful 12 retired. Colby Humphreys with 1/4 and Noah Gaske 1/9 were the pick of the Faulkner bowlers. Big innings from William Charles,25, Billy Evans,24 and Noah Gaske,17 seemed to set up Faulkner for a win but they lost too many wickets in the run chase. Nakita Moran was Healy’s most successful bowler, capturing 2/26.

The cricketer of the round is Ben Fattore for his 18 retired and one wicket for Healy.
