The tech savvy seniors program has come to an end with many of the elderly population becoming more aware of the advantages of computer use.
Griffith City Library’s joint manager Christine Del Gigante said they were happy to help the seniors.
“The response has been absolutely fantastic,” she said
“The idea was that people who didn't have any prior skills could just come along and learn.”
The program, which ran for four weeks at a time, taught the seniors how to use emails, the internet and ipads so they could maintain contact with children while they are overseas.
Mrs Del Gigante said this was the major attraction because people in this age group had been hesitant to learn about computers.
