
THE Calabria Wines March monthly medal, a single stroke, was played at the Griffith Golf Club last Saturday.
Following the overnight rain, the course was playing long as reflected by the scores.
Brad Lemon, 71 nett, won the A Grade medal, firing 76 off the stick, ahead of Mark Brown, 74 nett.
He went around in 78 strokes, nailing a birdie on the 10th.
Grant Semmler, 69 nett, best score of the day, won the B Grade medal, 84 off the stick, carding birdieis on the 6th, and 7th Graham Kilby 72 nett, runner-up, shooting 90 with five pars.
Paul Josling, 70 nett, won C Grade carding pars with other numbers in his 106 off the stick.
Daniel Richens, 70 nett, was second, 96 off the stick with three pars.
Pro Pins won by Ron Virago and Brad Lemon.
Par Threes, 7th Gant Semmler, 11th Grant Kiely, and 16th Mark Brown.

THE Cities Charity events over the weekend, saw a reduced field contest a single stableford in two grades on Sunday.
Alf Franchi, 39 points, won the 0-18 Grade, draining birdies on the 8th and 15th ahead of Craig Barrington 37 points, carding five pars.
The 19-36 Grade players found the going tough, Tom Wright won with 31 points ahead of Chris Powys 30 points.
Ian Smith won the 7th pin and Andrew Noad 11th.
Vouchers to 32 points.
The veterans played a single stableford in three grades last Thursday with scores at a premium.
John Bortolazzo, 34 points, won 0-18 Grade on a countback over Roy Calabria, 34 points.
Ken Alpen, 39 points, won 19-27 Grade,(only good score) ahead of John Evans, 35 points.
Visitor John Blackburn, 34 points, Bob Painting, 30 points, second.

The Volkswagon Charity Pro Am is on Friday, March 24, to aid Can Assist.
The club is looking for volunteers to help with score card, registration, spotters on the course.
