
COOLER conditions last Saturday saw a huge boost in players participating at the Griffith Golf Club, with 74 players turning out to contest a single stableford.
Brett Angel, 38 points, won A Grade, draining a birdie on the eighth.
Runner-up Tony McBride, 35, recovered from a 16-point front nine.
Jim Dickie, 39 points, won B Grade, scoring 22 points home, ahead of Bryan Salvestro, 38 points, draining a birdie on the sixth in scoring 21 points out.
Geoff Simms, 39 points, won C Grade, carding a four point par on the sixth and another on the 14th.
Daniel Richens, 39 points, second, lost the countback with four point pars on the 3rd and 13th.
Pro pins won by Tuiru Philllip and Luke De Valentin. Par Threes,7th, l Dave Gandy, 11th, Alan Le Broque, 16th, l Duncan Adams.

A single stroke in two grades on Sunday saw Jim Dickie carry on his good form, three wins in three outings to win the 0-18 Grade on 59 nett, firing 86 off the stick with five pars.
Craig Barrington, 71 nett , 87 off the stick, second carding eight front nine pars but included an ugly eight on the fifth. Andrew Mott, 75 nett, won 19-36 grade ahead of Peter Den Houting 79 nett.
Brad Fawcett won the 7th pin, Wayne Tyndall 11th
