THE Redneck Rally is a cause with a twist, and the product of local car enthusiast Gavin Gilbert.
He’s hoping to spread his love for touring across the nation while raising funds for Country Hope.
“When I first launched the Rally I knew it would be a great adventure to be a part of but I am truly amazed by how hard all the entrants are working also,” Mr Gilbert said.
“With over $36500 already deposited into Country Hope.
“The cars are starting to look great also with most now all set up and ready to go.
Mr Gilbert is hoping the rally will become an annual event, and expects the tour, fundraising totals and entrant numbers will only grow from year-to-year.
The 35 teams are coming from nation-wide and are each required to raise $2500 to be a part of the rally, before the rally sets off on March 18.
