A GROUP of former school friends have banded together to help out one of their mates who was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Former Griffith resident Lee Henderson, who now lives in Western Australia with wife Sarah and their two young children, was recently diagnosed with stage-four brain cancer.
It is the same disease that claimed his mother's life five years ago.
Not wanting to see their friend suffer further financial hardship Renee Catanzariti, Lindsay Golsby-Smith, Jessika Patani, Tennile Catanzariti, Anthony Gulloni, Maree Musitano Paul Careri and Kate Sotigia have banded together to help raise money for Mr Henderson and his family.
The group will conduct a Pizza, Pasta and Wine fundraising night at the Yoogali Club on Saturday, February 25.
There will be a continuous raffle with items including signed shoes by model and television host Kris Smith.
