FAULKNER got off to a good start in the second half of the Senior Binks/Tucker cricket season with a comfortable win over Siddle.
Faulkner’s score of 2/70 featured an impressive innings of 26 retired.
Thomas Scott took both wickets for his side as he finished with with a solid 2/12.
Siddle’s batsmen could not match the opposition and finished on 3/47.
Paddy Payne was the pick of their batsmen.
He stood tall for his side and made 14 runs.
Billy Evans proved to be a handful with the ball.
He snared two crucial wickets and was also miserly as he only went for six runs.
Maxwell had a solid win over Marsh.
They knocked up 6/83 before restricting Marsh to 8/56.
Jack Cannon top scored for Maxwell with 10 runs.
Sean Culgan was back in form with the ball, snaring three wickets for two runs off three overs.
Hayden Forner was the leading light in Marsh’s innings.
Forner made the most of his time at the crease as he retired on 15.
Rahul Giran was the most successful bowler for Maxwell, capturing 2/5.
Bowlers struggled to take wickets in the game between Finch and Healy.
Healy’s score of 1/64 was very difficult to beat even though Finch came close after making a more than respectable 2/90.
Riley Gatto top scored for Healy with 15 retired and Matthew Pastro added 12 not out.
The only wicket to fall was a runout.
Finch’s innings featured an innings of 27 from Chase Sergi and a valuable 19 retired from Angus Randell.
Dean Casey with 1/20 and Ben Faulkner 1/9 were the successful bowlers.
The player of the round award goes to Thomas Scott for his two wickets and five retired for Siddle.
