LAKE Wyangan North has reopened for recreational use after a three-month closure due to high levels of toxic Blue-Green Algae.
The Red Alert was reduced to an Amber Alert after consecutive water quality samples indicated algae toxicity concentrations decreased, Griffith City Council announced on Wednesday.
The reopening means water activities such as water-skiing, sailing and fishing can resume in the north lake, however, swimming and bathing remains prohibited.
