Griffith residents shared much of the sentiment coming from Narrandera locals.
“They have got to be mad! Narrandera Shire Council, you will lose all the patronage of Griffith residents who travel to your town to enjoy the exact same facilities that you are proposing to remove!” Sonia Sal said.
“Taking away Griffith's 50m outdoor pool was a huge mistake … people travel from far and wide to Lake Talbot,” Angela McIntosh said.
The council’s community engagement process has begun and will conclude in March, with a final plan set for release in April.
