Hanwood has secured a win over Leagues moving them closer to the third-placed side.
Having won the toss and electing to bat, Hanwood put themselves in a good position to score 133 off 40 overs.
Dean Catanzariti said it was a good team effort to get the side into that position.
“No one in particular put on a big score,” he said.
“It was a good team effort with Dean Wynne batting well at the end to score 15 when we looked a bit shaky.”
The top scorer for Hanwood was, in fact, the sundries with 30 – 26 of which were wides – with Brad Hornery scoring 28 off the bat.
Leagues got off to a shaky start losing Andrew Madden (3) and Matt Kennan (5) early. However, Liam Greenaway looked to turn the game around.
Greenaway put on 45 runs, including a 32-run partnership with Reece Matheson (18).
Raj Singh scored 27 late in the innings but it wasn’t enough as Hanwood came away winners by 10 runs.
