3:30: Diversion are now in place.
Northbound motorists will divert on to Murrami Rd, Whitton Rd and Binyah St to return to Irrigation Way.
Southbound motorists will divert on to Binyah Rd, Whitton Rd to continue on to Leeton.
2:30: Irrigation Way is closed in both directions in Whitton, in the Riverina, due to a serious accident involving two trucks and a car.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use the Sturt Highway and Kidman Way instead.
Emergency services and local council crews are attending.
Due to the serious nature of the accident, the road is expected to remain closed for some time.
