A total of $5 million in funding was made available from Griffith City Council and the state government which jointly will allow the villages to join the sewerage system.
“This project will enable the residents of these areas to benefit from modern sewerage infrastructure which is safe and reliable,” said Member for Murray Adrian Piccoli.
Residents in the area currently use their own septic systems in their backyards.
Mr Piccoli said the project was critical infrastructure and congratulated Griffith City Council on the effort put into preparing submissions to secure the funding.
