A City2Surf team from Griffith has thanked the community for their support in raising money for the Snowy Hydro Southcare Rescue Helicopter.

It was Robyn McCanna’s 10th year at the annual event in Sydney, but this year had special significance. Robyn’s daughter Sally was airlifted to Canberra by the rescue helicopter last year.
“Without them there’d be a lot of people who wouldn’t reach their destinations for care,” Mrs McCanna said.
“Sally was a colourful person and pink and purple were her favourite colours so we got tie-dyed shirts, we’re entering from now on as a team and these shirts will be something we have always.
“Our target was $5000 and we ended up with just over $6000. We want to thank everyone who supported us, we’re just happy with everybody who got on board.”
