The Area News asked Facebook users if traffic lights at the intersection of Banna and Jondaryan avenues was the answer.
“Congestion in Banna Avenue and surrounding streets is terrible. Maybe more traffic lights in Griffith would help alleviate the problem,” wrote one respondent.
City councillor Simon Croce said traffic lights would bring more order to the intersection, but traffic volume was the underlying problem.
“Drivers still struggle to use roundabouts to their potential,” Cr Croce said.
“Fortunately for our economy Banna Avenue is a busy street and traffic flow at peak times will always be pretty slow going.
“We would not be allowed to turn Banna Avenue into two lane road without removing the parallel parking, (which is) obviously not a good idea.”
