Katrina Hodgkinson, Parliamentary Secretary for Southern NSW, announced that Narrandera and Wagga airports were also in the running for funding under the Regional Tourism Infrastructure Fund (RTIF) for regional airports.
“This is fantastic news for Southern NSW,” she said. “The local tourism industry makes a significant contribution to the economy and the government is keen to support that contribution by investing in regional infrastructure to help boost visitor numbers and create jobs.”
The funding aims to help strengthen and diversify regional economies.
