Police report that around 6.30pm on Sunday, a 41-year-old woman and 48-year-old man were driving along Noorla Street when a man in a car pointed a firearm at them.
When both parties attended the Griffith station, officers spoke to a 41-year-old man before searching his vehicle.
It is alleged a loaded .22 calibre pistol was located under the passenger seat of the car.
The 41-year-old man was charged and refused bail to appear in Griffith Local Court on Monday.
He has been charged with a string of offences, including possessing a loaded firearm, possessing an unregistered pistol, not keeping a firearm safely, common assault and stalking/intimidation.
